Our second cohort of interns recently took place in a cook-off challenge at Kennedy King College’s Washburne Culinary Institute. Interns in our food service career track take courses at the Institute and then compete by creating and preparing their own recipe to wow the judges. Many of the interns modified their personal and family recipes to give them a modern twist, and the results tasted as good as they look! Thanks to the Washburne Institute and to Uncommon Ground Chef Justin Martin for helping to judge the event. Now these interns are looking to put their newly honed skills to use in one of Chicago’s great restaurants. This is one of our favorite days!
