Research Assistant Position at Growing Home

Growing Home, Inc. is seeking volunteer research assistants for a project examining the definition, historical development, scope, and projected growth of the urban agriculture industry in the Chicagoland area.

General duties include conducting literature reviews, collecting data, creating databases, analyzing and inputting data, designing surveys, and writing reports.

The ideal candidate will commit to working on this project at least 5 hours per week for 10-12 weeks and will have excellent organizational skills; experience with labor market research; proficiency with Excel and/or SPSS; ability to complete time sensitive tasks with little supervision; good judgments and decision making; and strong interest in workforce development and urban agriculture.

Start date: October 4, 2012
