LET’S GROW STRONGER, TOGETHER

Growing Home’s 2024-2026 Capital Campaign

About the Wood Street Farm Expansion Project

At Growing Home, our ability to provide a transformative environment for the community is deeply intertwined with our farm space, and the physical building and mobile trailers where positive change happens. As Growing Home embarks on a growth journey, investing in our infrastructure becomes a vital priority to effectively support our farm operations and training programs.

The Growing Home Wood Street Farm Expansion Project will substantially advance sustainable urban agriculture, workforce development and social enterprise in the Greater Englewood communities. It includes the development and construction of a LEED-certified building totaling 30,850 sq ft on previously vacant lots owned by Applicant at 1824 W. 59th Street, and the development of adjacent 62,034 sq ft of outdoor growing space and public access agriculture. Together, our impact will be strong.  With this project, we will:

  • Increase Food Access
  • Train More People
  • Strengthen Business & Enterprise Opportunities
  • Build Spaces for Community Connection
  • Reclaim a Concrete, Vacant Plot
